MICROSOFT SURFACE

Microsoft Surface is a new development platform that enables you to create applications that will help change the way that people interact with computers. In fact, users might not even know that a computer is involved. They interact with a high-end graphics display that is built into something similar to a coffee table. And users interact with the applications by using only their fingers and other objects. Microsoft unveiled the Surface and caused some strong emotions to ripple through the tech world. Many IT pundits were impressed; many potential users were excited, and some of Microsoft’s hardware partners were terrified. Most tech pundits are confused about the Tablet computer. They compare the abilities of the PC (traditional notebook and desktop computers) to those of the Tablet and find the Tablet wanting. They can’t understand how the Tablet can be so dog gone popular when it makes for such a terrible PC. What they don’t understand is that the tablet isn’t trying to be a PC unless it’s the Microsoft Surface. When it comes to designing new hardware, most companies are pretty quiet about the design process. Microsoft, with its Surface tablets, is taking a far more open approach than many other companies. Surface, like the Xbox, is an example of the sort of hardware products. Surface take existing technology and presenting in a new way. It isn’t a simply touch screen, but more of touch grab move slide resize and place objects on top of screen, and opens up new possibilities that were not there before.
